Kathryn Bigelow (früher mal: Near Dark, Blue Steel, Gefährliche Brandung, Strange Days / zuletzt jedoch: The Hurt Locker) hat noch einen Film über Soldaten (Navy SEAL Team 6) gemacht. But wait: this time it's about the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. Na das wird ja in Amerika hervorragend ankommen...

Bloody horror and nail-biting tension combine in this chillingly atmospheric story of a group of elite soldiers sent to a remote bunker to investigate the circumstances surrounding a mysterious communications breakdown with a fellow unit.
When all communication with a remote military base situated in an area of intense guerrilla activity is lost, a unit of Colombian soldiers is sent on a mission to regain contact with their brothers-in-arms. Fearing the base has been taken over by enemy forces, they arrive to find the place seemingly devoid of life. Once power is restored to the outpost, the full horror of the situation is revealed -- the place is littered with corpses, the walls daubed with blood and what appear to be magical symbols intended to ward off evil. Amidst the carnage the soldiers discover a woman buried alive behind one of the walls. The dead captain's log reveals she had been captured in the area several days earlier and was being held on suspicion of being a guerrilla informant. Further interrogation of the woman reveals little, but soon leads to tensions amongst the men who are struggling to come to terms with the mysterious slaughter of their comrades. Confused and isolated, the soldiers find themselves gripped by inexplicable feelings of fear, mistrust and paranoia that leads them to question the nature and identity of their enemy.

Hmmm, ich weiß nicht ob ich mir den ansehen werde, denn auf der einen Seite siehts nicht aus wie ein Film, der mir gefallen würde, aber auf der anderen Seite hat er DEN COOLSTEN TITEL ALLER ZEITEN!!! Das meine ich ganz ernst, ich liebe das englische Wort "Squad" und finde es gibt einfach einen ultra coolen Filmtitel ab. Ganz egal ob "Police Squad", "Rape Squad" oder "Commando Squad", wenn "Squad" im Titel ist, liebe ich den Titel. Und bei diesem Film haben sie einfach das unnötige Vorgängerwort weggelassen um den Titel noch viel squadiger erscheinen zu lassen und das finde ich einfach super!purgatorio hat geschrieben:ein Mix aus Kriegs- und Horrorfilm aus Kolumbien: THE SQUAD

"Squad" ist in der Tat ein tolles Wort 
Meinten die Amis mit dem Film SWAT eigentlich etwas anderes oder haben die sich nur verschrieben

Drama und viel nackte Haut... wenn's nicht nur wieder bloß ein Remake wäre. Aber immerhin führte Erik Van Looy Regie, der drehte drehte schon das belgische Original des Films. Obwohl... das muss ja auch nichts heißen

echt? ich fand den eher mau 
werd ihn aber bei Gelegenheit ein weiteres Mal sichten... Bei mir bekommt jeder eine zweite Chance
